sold Tomb Raider's design for Millions to Crystal Dynamics
, The Six Game although not a bad game in anyway, lost its general point as it turned Lara croft from Super Ass kicking Tomb Raider- To mistaken Murder on the run. The change was not welcome, the game was compelling, interesting to a point, but simply not Tomb Raider.
The Aim of Crystal Dynamics was to bring Lara Back in full forcem and as Human as possible. Here she is, re-animated, Less Pixelised, more human like. With a new voice, and new Attitude, but with her same basic self, Lara Croft is back.
Tomb Raider team members at Crystal Dynamics embarked on their own quest to rediscover Lara Croft. During their soul-searching mission, they unearthed past consumer surveys, conducted new research, re-read every game review possible, listened to lots of passionate begging and opinions from gamers such as myself and re-played through every Tomb Raider product. From this introspection and open-minded search for a fresh perspective, Tomb Raider: Legend was born. As a result, Eidos is evolving TombRaider while building on the original values of compelling character and adventure gameplay. Crystal Dynamics has brought together the biggest development team in Tomb Raider history and recruited Lara Croft's original maker Toby Gard as the lead character designer.
With her Companions Zip [Computer Wizz], Winston the Butler and Alister [Oxford Graduate] The once almost silent gameplay [Exclusing gunshots and groans of course ;) ] The game is now filled with Witty banter between Lara and her new Friends through her comunications head set. They are at your side [Or rather in your earpiece] to entertain, help and advise you. This proves an entertain, and plesant change from the once solitary Tomb Raider.
While the new Game only hosts 8 Levels, each are challenging, interesting and action packed. With a stunning Soundtrack, and easy Fluid movement and Control the New Tomb Raider game is a piece of art in itself. Eidos and Crystal Dynamics shaped Lara's look and movements to create a temple for showing off her skills, motivation and personality. Lara's character model features natural structure, realistic textures, detailed facial features, reactive eyes and fluid motion, all of which make her part of a living environment. Lara is still sexy, and still has all the moves, including some new ones [Pole Vaulting for example]
Sexy, entertaining, flawless, It is a must for any action game fan.
